I'm not sure anymore if the cache makes sense. It's nice that the UI is up and showing things very fast, but the problem is that now in the background things are loading and then suddenly the video tiles are being updated and jump around because newer videos show up.
I think we need some middle ground. I think we should show the loading video card and drop the cache. Also I like that the loading video card is only one like in subscriptions, my videos, etc. but I don't like it like it is on the home page that it shows the full row with loading cards.
I think we should have one loading card for one thing, so on home page there would be 3 in the beginning because there is continue watching, new local videos and new subscriptions. And on home when I go all the way to the right and it needs to load more it should also show the loading video card, so it's clear that there is more coming.
So we can keep the cache if possible but only to reduce downloading too many things, if there is a api to use to only get things after our cache, then we should use it. If not then we probably can just remove the cache.
How is it with all pictures, are they cached and reused like avatars, thumbnails, etc.? They should, so we don't need to download them again, but check the E-Tags or whatever it is which normally invalidates the cache for pictures on HTTP.
Looks good to me.
